Marketing Assessment

Know what your marketing needs before you spend another dollar.

A 7-day review of your whole marketing function, with written findings, a prioritized plan and a 90-minute readout call. It’s how every advising engagement starts.

$3,000, one time. The 7 days start once intake and access are complete.

Six areas, one picture

Most marketing problems don’t live in one channel. I look at how the whole thing works together.

01

Positioning and messaging

Whether people understand what you sell and why it matters to them.

02

Customer journey

Where people drop off between first visit and purchase.

03

Channels and spend

What's working, what's not, and where money is leaking.

04

Content and creative

Whether it moves people to buy or just fills the calendar.

05

Team and agencies

Who owns what, and whether the work matches the priorities.

06

Measurement

Whether you can trust the numbers you're deciding with.

How it assessment works:

Before kickoff - Day 0

Payment and intake

You receive a short questionnaire and a list of the access I need. Most founders finish it in under an hour.

Kickoff - Day 1

Kickoff call (60 minutes)

We talk through your goals, what you've tried, and what keeps you up at night about your marketing.

During the review - Days 2 to 5

The review

I go through your data, channels, messaging and customer journey. If I have questions, I send them by email so nothing waits until the end.

During the review - Day 5 · Optional

Team conversations

Short calls with up to two people who run your marketing, in-house or agency. They see things in the work that the numbers don't show.

Day 7

Readout call (90 minutes)

I walk you through what I found and what I'd do first. Bring anyone who needs to hear it.

What you walk away with:

01

Written assessment

All six areas, with the evidence behind each finding.

02

3 to 5 priorities

The changes that matter most, in order.

03

What to stop funding

Where money and time are going with nothing to show for it.

04

90-day plan

What to do first, second and third.

05

Readout recording

Share the 90-minute call with your team.

06

14 days of email support

Ask questions while you put it into action.

The decision-maker

On the readout call

After the assessment, you choose:

Option 1

Take the plan to your team

Everything is written so your team or agency can run with it without me.

Option 3

Stop there

No obligation and no follow-up pitch.

Ongoing advising always starts with the assessment, so my advice is based on your real numbers, not guesses.

Marketing Assessment · Sample findingPriority 1 of 4
Customer journeyFix first

The program page never says how much time it takes each week.

What I found

Visitors reach the program page ready to decide, but the weekly time commitment isn't stated anywhere. That's the first question busy buyers ask, and the page makes them email to find out.

What to change

Put the weekly hours in the first screen of the page and repeat them next to the enroll button.

What to watch

  • Page-to-checkout rate
  • "How long" emails
  • Time on page

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need the assessment before working together?

Yes. Ongoing advising always starts here, so my advice is based on your real numbers.

I already did a Decision Session. Do I pay the full $3,000?

No. If you book within 30 days of your session, the $1,500 is credited and you pay the remaining $1,500. Email me and I will send you the direct link for the 50% discount.

How is this different from a Decision Session?

A Decision Session answers one question. The assessment looks at your whole marketing function, so you see how the pieces affect each other.

How is it different from the free second opinion?

The second opinion is a short recorded review of one thing. The assessment covers everything and includes calls with you and, if you want, your team.

Is this a brand audit?

No. Brand is one of the six areas, but the assessment covers how your whole marketing function works.

We had an audit recently. Do we still need this?

Probably. I need your current numbers and conversations with the people doing the work. An older report usually misses both.

What if I disagree with a finding?

I show you the evidence behind every finding and flag where I'm making an assumption. You decide what to act on.

Start with a clear picture.

Book a call, and within 7 days of intake you’ll know what to fix first.

A look inside the assessment

  • Finding: The program page explains the curriculum but leaves the weekly time commitment unclear.
  • Evidence: The time commitment is missing from the page, and prospective customers have raised questions about workload before enrolling.
  • Why it matters: Someone may want the program but still be unable to judge whether it fits their schedule.
  • Recommended next step: Add a realistic weekly commitment and a sample assignment where prospective customers evaluate the program.
  • What to monitor: Whether workload questions decrease and qualified visitors progress toward enrollment.
